Some people leave footprints on our hearts and we are never the same ♥

It's hard not to get all wrapped up in frustrating experiences. There will always be stupid people who do stupid things that annoy you to the point of screaming. I am learning to have patience and it seems that every time I start to get wrapped up in trivial things, complaining about things that don't matter, God reminds me how blessed I am and what life is really all about.
I have this friend... she was one of my favorite room mates in college. It has been a long time since I had been in touch with her though. I just found out that recently she had a very sad and tragic thing happen to her and her family. It brought me to tears this morning reading about it. My heart broke and sank to the bottom of my stomach. But, I am amazed by her perspective. She has become a hero of mine, leading by example with her tremendous faith and strength in the Lord. She is being a great example to me. I love her and will keep her in my prayers that she continues to have the strength she needs.
Now, the things that I was complaining about yesterday don't seem to be as important. I am grateful for such experiences that cleanse my thoughts and remind me about what is important. Shanna, I love you and thank you for being such a wonderful woman ♥
