Gas Prices

$4.15 a gallon?! And I've heard it should be $6 a gallon by the end of the summer. Yuck!!!!!! As much as I love my Jeep, I'm really wishing I had something with a bit better gas millage. But I guess it's all about looking at the bright side of things, right?

Bright Side #1: The blue book value of my car just tripled!!! (I filled my gas tank)

Bright Side #2:  There is a new way to lose weight... It's the "I can't afford to buy groceries to feed myself because I just filled my gas tank" diet.

Bright Side #3: well... there are no other bright sides. Unless you are the man that pockets the money from rising gas prices. To you I say... I voodoo cursed every dollar I've paid... have fun with that... you jerk.

Night Fury!

I loved my red Jeep Cherokee. A 1991 with only 63,000 miles when I bought her last spring. Named her FireCracker... cause she's boxy and took off like a rocket! In October, however, she was totaled in a collision with a Toyota 4Runner on Church Road. A 19 year old kid was out 4x4'n at night and crossed a main road without headlights on or checking for on coming traffic causing me to T into it at 45mph.

I broke 4 ribs, chipped a bone in my foot, fractured my hand, and sprained my hip and my neck. My sister's head hit the dash and she broke the bone above her top teeth in her mouth. My mom broke her thumb and had a very bad contusion on her leg. My cousin had many dark bruises on her legs and arms. It was awful but I look at the pictures and think we got pretty lucky. We all were able to walk away from it. The Jeep proved itself a pretty safe rig, taking the majority of the blow of the accident. So I decided... I'm getting another Cherokee!!

Found this baby on Craigslist in Anchorage. He's a 2000 with 97,000 miles. A bit more miles then I hoped but I have found that a Jeep Cherokee with low miles is HARD to come by! People love their jeeps! I couldn't come up with a name for it tho for quite awhile. But one night it came to me! Night Fury! It's from the movie "How to Train Your Dragon" and if you haven't watched it yet, I suggest you do! I even ordered the plates for it. I have a lot of plans for it and it'll be smokin hott when it's done! So far the project has included the stereo system, a rack, hitch reciever.... and a recent Christmas present... Hella Lights!!! Which I just installed today!

They'll see me coming now!

I'm loving my NEW Cherokee and I'll keep ya posted on new additional projects on it.
